Dog Beds Vs. Floor Pillows

The fundamental difference between a dog bed and a floor cushion is the fill weight. When we manufacture our dog beds, they are generally filled like a "bladder" with far less fill than the floor cushions. Dogs are not as heavy as humans, which means you don't need as much fill.

Polyester is synthetic and is safe for both humans and dogs alike. Unlike feathers and down fill, dogs will not smell any other animal on the fill. Dogs go crazy when they smell down/feather filled pillow forms, so a polyester fill is always recommended around pets.

If you have a dog that tears fabric open, then you need to be handy with a sewing machine. Buy some cheap fabric and some loose stuffing from your local fabric store. You won't need more than 2 to 3 pounds for each dog bed pillow. Simply sew the edges together and hand stuff the polyfill inside and presto! you have a dog bed for your doggie.
